Take\u00a0an early morning or afternoon and\u00a0enjoy nature and get\u00a0a little\u00a0exercise.\u00a0The Sacramento Mountains\u00a0have\u00a0multiple options for hiking trails. One of my favorites is Bridal Veil Falls. It is a\u00a01.2-mile\u00a0hike over a mixture of\u00a0steep\u00a0terrain and\u00a0flat creek side trails\u00a0northwest of Cloudcroft.\u00a0It follows along the old logging\u00a0train tracks\u00a0that\u00a0used to\u00a0bring people\u00a0to the tall cool pines\u00a0for rest and relaxation\u00a0in\u00a0the highest peaks of Otero County.\u00a0The reward,\u00a0besides exercise and fresh air,\u00a0is the\u00a0gorgeous\u00a0waterfall.\u00a0There is something soothing about watching water fall down the cliff into the stream\u00a0in the shady bottom of\u00a0Fresnal\u00a0Canyon.\u00a0It is the perfect spot to cool off in the water before trekking back out to the real world.\u00a0With the sun setting later in the day and perfect temperatures, go check out some hiking trails and find some hidden treasures.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Staff Writer: Shawna\u00a0Hamilton With the weather warming up and the sun shining longer, it is time to hit some hiking trails.
