The final year of college can feel like a balancing act. Between finishing coursework, applying for jobs, and managing daily responsibilities, it is easy to feel stretched thin.
Currently, I am substitute teaching while completing my communication degree with an emphasis in Public Relations. Subbing has taught me patience, adaptability, and how to communicate clearly in unexpected situations. Every classroom is different, and every day requires quick thinking and professionalism.
At the same time, I am actively job hunting in preparation for graduation. Searching for positions, tailoring résumés, and preparing for interviews can feel like a full-time job. It requires persistence and resilience, especially when responses are not immediate.
In addition to school and work, I also run photography sessions, which require scheduling, client communication, editing, and time management. Photography has strengthened my organizational skills and reinforced the importance of personal branding a key concept in public relations.
Balancing multiple roles has not always been easy, but it has prepared me for the professional world. Learning to manage time effectively and stay motivated during uncertainty is a skill that extends far beyond college. As graduation approaches, I am reminded that every experience even the busy ones contribute to long-term growth.
