It is that time of year when college basketball takes center stage. This fast-paced tournament is also known as the Big Dance. The selection committee chooses the teams on what is known as Selection Sunday. On Tuesday, four bubble teams play for the right to participate in the tournament. Then the marathon of March Madness begins. Next the top 68 college basketball teams begin their high energy competition and quickly whittle them down in a single-elimination format. The early rounds are fun to watch because each team leaves everything out on the floor. The players do not quit until the final buzzer is heard. Fans pack the arena and cheer on their team non-stop. Do not even think about sitting down. Each year an underdog team, a Cinderella, knocks off a highly ranked team messing up brackets early on. It is a thrill to watch college athletes give it their all and play for the love of their sport. Do not miss the chance to watch highly skilled athletes show off their talents in hopes of winning the tournament and bragging rights.
