As finals approach, it’s easy to fall behind or lose motivation. Assignments pile up, essays need to be finished and studying becomes more important than ever. This is the time to stay focused and make sure everything is getting done, and yes I am talking to you person that still has half a paper to write and things to study.
One of the biggest challenges during this time is where you study. Staying in your dorm or at home can be distracting. It’s easy to end up in your bed or on a game instead of getting work done. Getting out of that environment can make a big difference.
Finding a neutral place to study can help you stay on track. Trust me, going somewhere like a public library or a coffee shop creates a space where you feel more focused. It also helps separate your work time from your rest time. Make sure though you set a goal before you sit down, like finishing part of an essay or studying a certain amount, can help keep you accountable and give you an exit ticket for when you can finally leave.
From personal experience, getting out of the house has made studying easier. Places like the public library in Carlsbad or even a quick stop at Dunkin’ have helped create a routine for me. Getting some fresh air and changing your environment can help you stay productive and avoid falling into distractions at home. Now get to it, We at ENMU believe in you.
