Peach season is here! In Texico, peaches are taken very seriously, including a whole peach festival put on by Five Heart Farm.
In addition to fresh palisade Colorado peaches for sale, multiple vendors were in attendance. Jewelry stands like Salvage and Sparkle, Blowtorch Betty Designs, and Soul Ties Permanent Jewelry all had lines to purchase goods. Both Kaffe n’ Kitchen and Mama’s Baked Treats had peach flavored delicacies for sale. There were also crafted goods, boutiques, and a business called Lavender & Lillies, which was selling candles and wax melts in Fall scents. Five Heart also had cut-your-own flowers for sale, which included a glass mason jar to store the fresh blooms.
On Friday night, the farm had Plemons Bridge Band, a music group from Texas, and Sunday afternoon Carter McCart, a local solo musician, playing live. Every day of the festival, they put on children’s and adult’s peach-eating contests, which held a cash prize.
Keep an eye on Five Heart Farm next year around peach season for a fun day the entire family can enjoy!
