The football team is going through a difficult but resolute 2025 season under Kelley Lee as head coach. The Greyhounds, who play in the NCAA Division II Lone Star Conference, have had one of the most difficult schedules in recent years, facing both longstanding rivals and nationally ranked institutions.
The Greyhounds lost to New Mexico Highlands University 34-28 at the start of the season, despite their best efforts in the last quarter. One of the most dominant ground performances in school history occurred during their 56-31 victory over Midwestern State University. The team has, however, also seen some challenging losses, such as a 58-7 loss to #16 Central Washington, which has highlighted the difficulties with depth and consistency in conference play.
Coach Lee and his team are committed to rebuilding and nurturing a youthful roster as the season goes on. The Greyhounds hope to end the 2025 season strong and set the stage for future success with perseverance, grit, and good leadership.
