Eastern New Mexico University continues to follow New Mexico guidelines and protocols regarding COVID-19.
The Centers of Disease Control and Prevention has kept their guidelines the same regarding masks. Those who are ages two and older should wear a mask in indoor places regardless of their vaccination status.
As of Nov. 3, 2021, vaccines are available to all New Mexicans ages 5 and up for no cost. The New Mexico Department of Health’s website offers easy access to register for your COVID-19 vaccine, or you can reach out to your local provider for additional information.
Vaccine Clinics are also held on occasion in Portales Square and for ENMU Students and Staff in the Campus Union Building.
There have been over 480,000 positive cases, 6,500 COVID-19 related deaths, and over 6.3 million tests administered to those in N.M.
N.M. residents who have COVID-19 symptoms and those who do not have COVID-19 symptoms but may have been exposed to the virus are encouraged to get tested. Tests are available for no cost at Roosevelt General Hospital in Portales, at the Rapid Testing Clinic.
