Recently, I have been embracing extreme day trips and overnight journeys across the UK and Europe to maximize the experience of living abroad. Bruges, Belgium, was the perfect addition to my list. I drove from London and took the Eurotunnel, which made the trip smooth and surprisingly quick. Within hours, I was in Bruges, soaking in the city’s medieval charm. I couldn’t resist indulging in the world-famous Belgian chocolate; each bite was pure bliss. And those waffles! Fluffy, rich, and endless topping options were a dream come true.
Exploring Bruges was a delight, whether by foot, motorboat cruise along its picturesque canals, or relaxing on a horse-drawn carriage ride through the cobbled streets. The city is compact and easy to explore; every corner reveals something new and beautiful. The weather was perfect during my visit; it was sunny, with vibrant tulips blooming everywhere, adding to the city’s charm. Bruges is just a short drive from London, making it an ideal, unforgettable getaway. It truly exceeded all my expectations!
