The 2025 World Series gave fans an experience most will never forget. The Los Angeles Dodgers and Toronto Blue Jays met in a seven-game series that featured many special moments and truly captured what playoff baseball is meant to be. The series ran from October 24th to November 1st, concluding with the Dodgers earning their second of back-to-back championships.
From the moment the first pitch was thrown it was highly competitive, with the Blue Jays taking game one and scoring 11 runs, which proved to be too much for the Dodgers to handle that night. The Dodgers then answered in game 2, beating the Blue Jays 5-1.
Game 3 was perhaps one of the best games in World Series history. An absolute marathon 18-inning thriller that tested the stamina and resolve of both clubs. After 6 hours and 39 minutes of World Series baseball, the game finally ended in the Dodgers’ favor by a score of 6-5, leading to a Dodger lead in the series of 2-1.
As the series went on, the momentum changed back and forth countless times. Following the 18-inning thriller, the Blue Jays tied the series up at 2 games apiece with a victory in game 4. The back-and-forth pattern continued and ultimately led to a winner-take-all game 7 in Toronto.
The big game lived up to the hype, with both teams exchanging the lead multiple times throughout the game. After 11 innings of very competitive baseball, the Dodgers came away victorious, winning their second of back-to-back championships.
The Dodgers became the first team in 25 years to win the World Series two years in a row, and while the Dodgers received the majority of glory and attention for winning another championship, it shouldn’t be understated that the Blue Jays are a real contender that will look to make another strong push next season.
