As both the men’s and women’s teams aim to build on recent success, the Eastern New Mexico University Greyhounds are preparing for another thrilling basketball season. The programs are hoping to make an impression at the Lone Star Conference thanks to excellent returning players and fervent fan support in Portales.
With their first postseason victory since 2003 and an outstanding 18–11 record from the previous season, the men’s team is confident going into the new year. ENMU intends to maintain its quick-paced offensive approach. Strong depth off the bench, greater ball movement, and more scoring in the paint have all been demonstrated in early non-conference games. Fan support is anticipated to be a significant asset with 13 home games planned.
The women’s team concentrates on defense, rebounding, and a more balanced scoring approach in an effort to gain momentum as well. The roster now has more vitality and competitiveness thanks to a number of younger players taking on important roles.
The objective of both teams is to move up the Lone Star Conference standings and put ENMU basketball back in the running for the postseason. With perseverance and increasing community support, Greyhound Nation’s 2025–2026 season is expected to be exciting and progressive.
