To all cake lovers, this will be a great recipe for you. Not only guaranteed easy reading, but also a delicious result after following these steps.

You will most likely not need to go to the store for these ingredients and what better afternoon delight than a fresh, home baked cake.

If you have struggled with baking in the past, bakers around the world would like to apologize. Surely their intention was to demonstrate how it is done, although it may be intimidating. Hoping the recipe today will give you confidence to be the first to volunteer at all the bake sales.

Step 1: Collect Ingredients

Ingredients

1 ½ cups of flour

3 large eggs

½ cup of butter

1 cup of 2 percent milk, room temperature

1 ⅓ cups of granulated sugar

½ teaspoon of salt

1 tablespoon vanilla extract

1 tablespoon of baking powder

Cake pan

2 bowls to mix ingredients

Step 2: Preheat the oven at 350 degrees F

Step 3: Mix Dry Ingredients

Be sure to measure all ingredients and place them in a mixing bowl.

Dry Ingredients:

Flour, Sugar, Salt, Baking Powder

You can mix them with a spatula or any utensil at hand.

Step 4: Mix Wet Ingredients

Be sure to measure all ingredients and place them in bowl #2

Wet Ingredients:

Eggs, Butter, Milk, Vanilla Extract

These ingredients will have to be better incorporated. Use a mixer or stand mixer. Mix until all ingredients have incorporated.

Step 5: Join Ingredients

Place the dry ingredients in bowl #2, mixing the wet and dry ingredients to create the batter

Mix until there are no signs of flour or other ingredients not incorporated. This should take around 2 minutes.

Step 6: Place in Cake Pan

Be sure to grease the cake pan before adding the batter. The pan can be greased with the light use of butter and a sprinkle of flour or you can use a cooking spray of your choosing.

Depending on the size of your cake pan, there could be a possibility of overflow

Be sure that the cake batter only fills ¾ of the cake pan to prevent the overflow of the cake and any raw centers

Step 7: Oven Time

Place the cake pan with the batter in the oven if ready at designated temperature (350 F). Be sure the oven grill is placed in the middle of the oven. You do not want your cake to high up or too far down. The cake should be visible through the oven window and placed in the middle of the two other levels. If your oven only has one height and seems to be in the middle of the top or bottom, you may leave as is.

Be sure the oven is on, at the right temperature and place cake pan in the oven

Step 8: Waiting Time

Now is time to wait set your timer for (30 minutes) of baking time.

Step 9: Cake Ready

After the 30 minutes are up, grab a toothpick or fork and open the oven. Place the toothpick in the center of the cake and pull it out. If batter is seen on the toothpick, the cake is still raw. A clean toothpick means it is ready to be pulled out of the oven. After it has been checked and ready, you may turn off the oven and take it out using oven mitts.

Do not leave the cake in the oven when it is done. This will only make the cake dry. It must be pulled out.

If accessible, place a cooling rack on the counter or table and place the cake pan there. Be careful it is hot!

Step 10: Time to Enjoy

The cake is ready! Be sure to wait until it is cooled. After cooled, it is ready to eat and share with your friends!

Thank you so much for joining this recipe journey. Hope you liked the experience as well as the result.
