Ranch life is a blend of hard work and dedication, and my brother is living proof about this. This week, he decided to sell 47 sheep and goats. The livestock included a mix of different breeds: White Dorper, Blackhead Dorper, and Spotted Dorper Sheep, as well as Blackhead Boer and Redhead Boer goats. All these animals have been raised and fed at the farm on a diet of alfalfa and corn silage.
Every day, my brother made sure that each coral was properly fed. He uses a tractor to load one bucket of feed into each pen, keeping the livestock well-nourished. He also plays an essential role in running the farm, taking care of the feeding himself while driving the tractor. It is actually really weird to see this since he is still a teenager. When we were younger my grandpa was the only one who operated the machines.

His responsibilities don’t stop with the sheep and goats. My brother also helps out with pigs, helping his girlfriend’s dad. Together they feed and sort the pigs, making sure everything is handled with care and precision. After a long day here at the farm working with his animals he still manages to put in the effort and help them out.
Every aspect of ranch life requires dedication, and my brother proves that he’s more than capable of handling it. Whether it’s driving the tractor, feeding the animals, or helping with the pigs, he’s a main part of the operation, keeping everything running smoothly.
